Helping Professions Student Services Organization HPSSO is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides social services and shelter to homeless unaccompanied youth & disadvantage high schools’ students.  HPSSO Homeward Connections Mentorship program (HCMP) empowers sociable, economic growth in homeless and disadvantaged high school youth. The mission of HCMP is to eliminate chronic needs within the homeless and disadvantaged high school youth, by taking care of their basic needs of shelter, food, clothing and cultivate a healthy state of learning within DISD high schools, to provide channels to transform leaders, and provide opportunities for a successful career path to prosper living and to promote a practice of philanthropy within the minority millennium.
The homelessness is a chronic and vast problem. According to the Annual Homeless Census In south Dallas its gone up by 23% from last year.
